Prelude

December 1935

Charles once again sat in the library of chateu de Reun, looking though page after page of all the old volumes there.
The people of the Museum though he was somewhat mad, and laughed behind his back when they though of his manic search for something he wouldn´t tell them.

So, now he sat there in the library again, and finall found what he was looking for, the line of descent from Charlemagne, he shouted out of sheer joy! He was the person he thought he was, he was the righteous king of France, many people had tried to restore france to the days of Napoleon, but he, Charles XI, would create an empire greater than the little bit napoleon owned, he would re-create the frankish empire.

This is another Zuckergußgebäck AAR, written only by myself, I am using my own very personal, non-downloadable Zuckergußgebäck-mode, cosisting of many claims that isn´t in the vanilla HOI.

Claims:

Sweden: Mariehamn
Norway: Iceland and greenland
Belgium: Luxemburg
Italy: The most western provinces of austria, (austria was in Il Duces plans for the future as well) and sardinia
UK: Entire ireland
Manchukuo: The japanese corridor
Haiti: sominican republic
South africa: Lorenco marques
Yemen: aden
canada: newfoundland
Poland: The oder-neisse line
Yugoslavia: Albania


Frankish claims(I´ll check my files and update later):
European part of belgium and netherlands, Austria, accept for Horn, Switzerland, germany east of the elbe and kiel, two western provinces of hungary, the three westernmost provinces of chechoslovakia, luxemburg, italy down to rome, some provinces of northern spain, two northernmost provinces of yugoslavia.

I have only two episodes of I´m cheesed of left, so this will be irregularily updated until they are posted

other changes:

France now has Charles XI as head of state and government¨
France now is paternal autocrat
France has now german alignment

Le presidentes office, 21st of december 1935

This is todays news: the revolts are spreading, having reached central france, the rebels are already holding important cities, including Marseilles, the followers of self-proclaimed king Charles XI are quicklyt marching north and...

The presidents aide turned of the radio, there was a sense of doom that hung in the room, the flags on the wall waved a little as the gentle breeze blew in through the windows.
- Is there anything we can do? The president asked
- Not much, the army has gone over to him, so has the general populace, I guess that it isn´t the same population that stormed the Bastille.
- Of course not, they´ve gone weak, overconfident, their revolutionary flame has died, they are no longer followers of the republic.
- We recon that they will be in Paris by new year, the militia revolutionaire Is doing their best to fight them, but they are beeing whiped out.
- Damn, call a meeting
- Yes sir.

[A few hours later]

The president sat down, on maps of France, the attacks of the rebels were monitored, they were creeping northwards.
- Well, gentlemen, the president began, the republic has never been in such a great danger since the restauration of 1814, what are we to do?
- We know what to do, one of the ministers said, and held up a Walther PPK.
- And what would that be?
- Mr. President, by the authority of the great second restauration, we declare you an enemy of France, step down voluntarily, or get pushed.
- I refuse, was all that came over the stunned presidents lips.
- So be it, enemy...
BLAMBLAMBLAM!
With a moaning sound the president fell to the floor.

[New years eve, Paris]

The halftrack carrying king Charles XI into Paris quickly made it into town, television repeatidly showed the picture of the halftrack running over a french flag with the text: Fluctuat nec mergitur, the next morning, the flag of the second restauration, the Oriflamme flew over Paris, Charles XI took a fitting device: Per fas et nefas, by all means...

After France had surrendered, the kings first task was to re-organise the army, large stretches of the franco-german and franco-italian border lay unprotected, the king dispatched all troops at his command to be posted on the italian, german and benelux border, mostly since the king acknowledged the risk of a german attack through Benelux.

[Midnight, 29th of december 1935, luxemburg]

It was very dark, the few soldiers guarding the palace didn´t see a thing, although giant searchlights panned the area, they didn´t see three men slip past, and into the building...
Inside the palace was it as dark as it was outside, but still, soldiers patrolled the corridors, they pressed themselves against the wall everytime luxemburgian soldiers passed, they reached a crossway, and there stood two soldiers, they couldn´t get past...
CRASH!
- You idiot! Look what you have done! That was a ming vase. one of the soldiers screamed
- Perhaps we can use glue...
- This isn´t the time for jokes, help me with this instead.
- Perhaps I can pay for it out of my wages...
- Then you have to go without wages for approximately the rest of your service, come here!

The three men slipped past and into one of the corriors, they emmidiately saw that they were at the right place, one of the men put down his bag...


[Paris, 15:00, last day of 1935]

...and the luxemburg revolts are spreading ever more, it is believed that the same organisation that lay behind the horrible blowing up of the grand duchess a few days ago.
The revolters claim to be loyal to king Charles XI, the king of France, it may well be possible that king charles has to take up the title as grand duke of luxemburg, that was the news

- Fools! Charles screamed, dont they understand that this will hamper french relations with the rest of the world?
- But sir, it is a possibility that they will join our realm and...
- They think of what is now, but they must think about the future.

Five hours later, on midnight the first of january, the rebels defected to France and forced king Charles XI take up the mantle as grand duke of Luxemburg.

On january eight, republican spain refused french territorial demands.

Great story so far but I have one question, How many people in France were able to watch Television?

Not many, but then, there are cinemas and such, anyway, how do you display a half-track running over a flag with the city of Paris device on it by radio?

Yes, it is fun the first times, but then... It makes me think of 1.00, just easier.

Why don't you have germany split into its previos principalities, dividing the armies amongst them. All would have territorial claims on the others, and prussia would almost certanly kick the crap out of the rest of them, although it gives you time to build up your forces, and if you are lucky you might even get saxony.
EDIT: I say austria to germany (or prussia in my idea, or possibly saxony...)

It would be difficult, as you would have to creat the new countries using an editor, but it would make an awsome alternate reality AAR. Imagine; an alternate reality where the franco-prussian war would be posponed untill now, with current techs. But this is your AAR, so its your choice.

PS: If you don't like the idea, please tell me as I would like to make it myself if you wouldn't.
PPS:The above is not technically a shameless plug as there is a possibility that you would take it, and even if you wouldn't the AAR won't exist for a while.

Well, your... ummm... syrupfullness

I have tried once to create a own country in the editor, buit is didn´t go well, for instance, I couldn´t type in the head of state and such, I would be most gracious if you would tell me how I am supposed to do, anyway, it is a pretty boring AAR, just like "the Überdeutsch" was supposed to be, my troops beeing invincible, I slaughtered germany, and all the other claims, it wasn´t really funny.

Just incase my idea isn't complicated enough already...

Try this site, it'll tell you all you need to know about how to edit scenarios. Mind you, it is incredably difficult to create even a small tech change at startup, so mabye you should try to get some other people to help you with it. But if you do wish to create this thing, I would think you should create a thread in the MOD forum, rather than cluttering up the AAR page. Should you be willing to do this, I am volunteering in advance.

On February 10, Stalin set out on a great task first started by Lenin, to actually reclaim the territory lost after The great war.
At 5:00 in the morning, soviet troops swung the barrier aside at the border and surged in, occupying Kars, it was an act of war itself, but since Mustafa Kemal Atatürk didn´t fancy a fight with the soviets, the whole affair was hush-hushed and soviet union received Kars, on february 27, the Spaniards refused another demand for territory.
