Retreats still messed up with 1.03

I am playing the germans in 1940. The british and french keep attacking over the border we mutually have and the british troops seem to have the ability to run right past my defenses into the heart of germany then they keep retreating all over the place. This is pretty annoying whats the purpose of a front line if they can go right through it and run around.

aircraft retreats are very unrealistic

During the German invasion of England, one of my squadrons lost a fight over Portsmouth and retreated....NORTH! Of course, it then lost a string of battles and in each case, retreated....NORTH!
They finally got to Scottland before magically reappearing in Cherbourg.
