Retinues seem to have disabled themselves?

I have the latest patch and have bought Legacy of Rome. Everything was fine for a while but today for some reason when I go to the military screen the "retinue" tab is black and I can't access it. I have tried various new games as well as old games in which I had previously raised retinues and in all of them it's as if I hadn't bought Legacy of Rome.

Has this happened to anyone else? Can someone explain how to fix it? I bought the game through steam if that has anything to do with it.

You might want to try verifying the game cache. That will quite often fix game issues with steam (especially Paradox games). Here is a link for the steps to do this:

I had this happen when I used a mod. Disabling the mod fixed it.

I know you didn't mention a mod, but that's my .02.
