Restoration of the Union Lost upon Tag Switch of Target.

I am playing a game as Byzantium, with Muscovy as a personal union.

I wanted to make Muscovy form Russia, so I created a backup save, to test if releasing them would do that. I reduced their opinion to below 0, and abdicated, losing them as a junior partner. Upon this happening, as expected, I received a restoration of the union casus belli.

A few days later, Muscovy formed Russia, but unfortunately, I lost the CB when that happened.

Is this intended behaviour?

Yeah you have a claim to the Muscovite throne, not the Russian throne.

Restoration of union is tag specific, this is why every naples thing includes two sicilies too

This means the only way to get Russia as a junior partner, as opposed to Muscovy, would be to release them, install my dynasty on their throne, then claim it again. Had I known this, I would have waited for them to form Russia, although the AI had foolishly allied Ryazan this game and blocked itself from forming Russia.

I thought they were supposed to fix this behavior in the new patch...
