Respec?

Will there be an option to respec skills, attributes, talents etc? For player and companion.

Maybe talent points and attributes. The progression system for skills doesn't really give itself to respecing.

I hope there is. All I want it for though is to remove any developer-preplaced points if they happened to be placed in trees I wont be using.

Is that because the vast majority of companions get recruited with unallocated points though. I recall hearing that one or two of verses points are pre-selected when you recruit her, but that may have been out of necessaity, being she is recruited pretty much from the get-go and is required for combat in the first area.

i doubt it, there are more companions in PoE and you can set it in the options to spec them yourself

Well we can hope that, with the exception of verse, other companions come with unallocated points then or that an option to respec might be added at a later time. Always found it frustrating when a particular build for an NPC just wasn't viable if you recruited them later on and no respec was available. Fingers crossed, that wont be the case here.

Guess we'll see. Definitely would be nice. I rarely end up using respec in games, however it's always nice to know the option is there and there have been a few times where it's saved me greatly in games. I plan to play the game more than once anyways to experience different ways to play, but it's nice to have respec when you're in a pinch.

Hope we get the option. Because, oh I don't know, starting over because you managed to mess up a character is not fun.

I hope that will be possible. the reason and not least : Very short game that relies on replayability with the impossibility of creating its own group. Completely paradoxical. If I start again 3 games, I resume Barik 3 times to tank, with always the same start attributes that do not suit me. I'm sorry, replayability + no character creation + no respec do not go together.
