I'm playing the 1936 game as the US--using 1.2 of course--and I noticed that my energy went to 99999 and stayed there. I'm netting 450 per day yet the total does not roll over to 100k the way it did in HOI2. Is this by bug or by design? It's sort of unrealistic to have your resources max out.

Cap is realistic. Ask a Government to store 3years worth of Steel use for their entire industry. They will ask you back if you are crazy, stupid or just joking.

the worst, is when you have supplies or fuel that get rerouted to capital. They simply disappear if you are at 99.999 (well it jumps to more than 99.999 and then returns to that cap)

Nobody's going to pay workers to manufacture steel that's just going to sit around in piles. Never happened.

Hell, the 99999 cap is still unrealistic. That'll run your entire industrial plant for how many years?

what is unrealistic is not the resource stockpiles but the resource consumption/generation overall

Except that was never meant to have a realistic level to it, but an abstract one. None of the Hearts of Iron games ever used a realistic level of consumption and generation.

As for the cap, I agree it's pointless. Is this thing hard coded or has someone found in buried in the files somewhere?

While 99999 seems like a lot, it's just 274 per day for 1 year. In the case of energy, that's less than 140 IC's worth for a year.

on my game germany got 121k Energy but i limited at 99k, why? it depens on countries or sth like that ?

You saw that number through your spies, and your spies always and only give you estimates, sometimes they over shoot it. If you load up any nation you'll see they have 99999 just like you.

I've seen it where capturing another nation's capital (or at least conquering another nation) will put you over the cap. In my Germany game, I conquered Poland and had 107k energy for awhile, until it dropped back down below 99,999.

So anything you receive can put you over the cap, but you can't produce more than the cap, if that makes sense.

Has anyone loaded up Barbarossa to see if either Germany or Russia need more than 99999 in resources or supplies? I was just guessing that maybe this is even not enough for a 30 day reserve.
