I trade to get Sweden to trade me some of the steel they were sitting on and they refused, so I invaded in early 1940 and captured the country. I then changed the occupation policy to full occupation meaning I should be getting 65% of all resources produced. It is now April of 1940, and I can see for example 30/30 steel in a province, yet when I look at my convoys which I let the AI control, I see no convoy going from Sweden to Germany. Am I getting these resources or not? Is there a better way to tell?

Use the Resources tab to see which provinces are producing metal, then click on the provinces. It should show the actual "output" numbers for each resource coming from the province, and the tooltip for that and Revolt Risk should show more details on what's affecting it.

It will probably travel by land (across the straits) if you have Denmark under your control.

Yeah when I look at the province it shows the amount, and I was just checking to see if there were actually any straits with Denmark before I saw your post and I found it. Oddly enough though, the AI still sets up supply convoys to Oslo and Stockholm even with the strait.

Actually, this makes sense, because shipping the supplies to Stockholm will result in saving both throughput losses and time. So if demand rises in Stockholm, the convoy is far quicker at matching the request. Iirc supplies travel only 1 province per day on the land route. So as long as the route is safe (and the Baltic Sea should be safe for Germany) and you have enough convoys, this is fine. However, you can cancel them if you want to, you'd have to switch to manual convoy control in order to do that.

Supplies have a transportation cost, but resources don't. Therefore Resources mined in Sweden will instantly appear in your stockpile because you are on the same continent.

The AI set up those supply convoys when you were invading; it doesn't know how to turn them off. What is happening is that you are shipping supplies and then they are flowing "cost free" back to the depot. It does save a little on supply transfer costs, but it also causes your production AI to "see" slightly more demand for supplies than you need. If you wanted to turn them off you could go into the production screen, click on those convoys in the convoy section and delete them. The AI shouldn't reestablish them.
