This is a screenie of the economic map mode.

Some provinces have icons* like the oil one in the shot that indicate the most numerous resource.

* The presence of an icon does not mean only that resource is available in the province nor does the lack of an icon indicate an absence of resources.

Thanks but what I had in mind is a world map or a series of maps covering the various parts of the world that showed the provinces and the resource icons. Perhaps this isn't feasible (and as you point out, the icon's don't tell the full story - but it would still be very interesting to see).

It wouldn't be useful really, it's just icons. An oil icon could mean that provicne produces 5 oil a day or that it produces 560 oil, 490 rubber and 220 coal and steel each (slight exaggeration, such a province does not actually exist :D)

Well at that scale I find them hard to see but my vision is somewhat lacking. :)

The wargamer microsite has shots of various regions and counties... best I have bookmarked.

Thanks MW...the Wargamer screenie of Germany's resources is what I was driving at...but more of them :) and maybe zoomed out a notch or two...

If someone has this, terrific...if not, let's hope the game shows up in stores tomorrow

I have not seen the printed manual so cannot speak to that but in-game you only have your province info in list form. However, all provinces and their specific information are accessible so you can find out the resources and such.

I will eventually produce a FAQ of this information. But, as the rest of the betazoids know, this has been on my list of things to do since late September...
