Deus:
Thanks, I try to look like I know what I'm doing anyway.
GhostWriter:
My only guess as to why Hungary and Bulgaria joined the Axis is to get German help against the Soviets. Too bad for them Nazi Germany with only three provinces and had a 15 division army (speculation) at the time.
As to the formation of pockets, it's very tricky. My units are mainly infantry and many have artillery brigades. This makes for a very slow army, and therein lies the difficulty. It's hard to pocket a force in the open unless you have a maneuverability advantage. Also, the Soviets vastly outnumber me, so don't expect any huge pockets of 30+ divisions. I simply can't contain those kind of forces.
GrimReaper:
Yes, that one. Now let's never speak of it again.
Duke of Wellington:
Yeah, it is a rather bad move on their part. To be fair, however, I didn't really have any troops on the border. Not in a position to permanently advance anyway. Also, if it had happened a week latter, I would have been involved in Italy and probably have deployed my new divisions elsewhere. I still would have beaten them, but it would have taken longer and been much more disruptive than it is. Bad luck for them!

After this thing is over, I believe a name change will be in order for Czechoslovakia. After all, we'll control Hungarians, and Austrians as well as the usual Czechs and Slovaks.
stnylan:
This may be true, but I think I will actually have to worry about Romania less. They will have a total of four border provinces while I only have two. Thus, I can concentrate my forces while they have to spread theirs out. This could be bad if they attack, but the French are also advancing well in Yugoslavia. Hopefully they can exert some pressure as well.
OAM:
The map was for the Soviet Union, so they and their allies will be green and the nations that they are at war with will be red. As you can see, they are at war with the Allies and the Axis (Italy, Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, and, at the time, Nazi Germany).
Sorry for any confusion.
GeneralHannible:
Yes, better to worry about the Reds than two bit fascists.
