Hauntingly beautiful once again my good sir. I felt sorryness for the Polish soldiers going to their doom in the city, not knowing the horror they were about to encounter. You've turned the Chimera from a simple villain to an actual "horror", a horror that haunts me each page I read. Truely when the lights are down, it adds for effect. Now all I need is some scary music and ala, it'll be perfect.
If I may ask but what basically technology wise are the European Allies using? Just the same technology that was available at that time or different weapons added into the game? It would be a pretty hopeless fight them using Panzer IVs and Cromwells against the advanced Chimera, I'm sure.

The plan called for the creation of the Warsaw Line. A line of fixed fortifications, fortified bunkers, trenches, anti-tank obstacles and barbed wire designed to hold the enemy in check for several months while the UED organized its new ‘mechanized’ divisions to counterattack the enemy pinned against the line. The line was supposed to hold for months. The Chimera overwhelmed it within forty eight hours. There were no survivors. Some of them have continued fighting, holding rifles even as their arms are shot off. Our own troops are clearly unnerved….

In the game storyline, they are slightly evolved from WW2, with a portable rocket launcher and VTOL aircraft, not to mention M5A2 rifles. But for the purposes of this story, i'll compromise. Those weapons exist, but the Europeans will still rely on their Panzer IVs and other tanks that historically existed.

Awesome update. It takes skill to tell the story of a major campaign without using maps, and you definitely did it.

chilling, as many others have said. its nice to see europe working together for a change, thats one thing the chimera have brought thats good.
I really have difficulties to read this as a normal story... by which I mean that I start reading every chapter somewhat scared for what horrors will this part introduce. Like it was really happening. This is the greatest compliment I can give, for I read kinda lot of books yet only a selected few give me this feeling.

I echo the comments of other readers once more. What I don't understand though is how would the Chimera be able to supply their frontline troops with the equipment necessary to even combat the UED forces? I could imagine an enemy that could easily shread their opponents and continue advancing without having to use equipment but as has been stated in the story, it is amazing that the Chimera have been able to use such hi-tech equipment compared to they don't really have a nation. Will you explain that part as the story goes on? From what I've gathered, that part isn't really covered in the game either.
Would they also have their own supply convoys as well you reckon? Or is it a case of just charging until victory is won?

That sounds like it would be a terrifying experience, not only for the Soldiers on the front, but for von Manstein back at HQ. Let's just say it's not a situation I'd want anything to do with. :rofl:

well as far as i understood the chimera are a race who already have veeery advanced technology(they have their home planet as far as i understood) and in the tungska(or whatever) event primitive lifeforms of chimera were send to the earth.over the years the chimera evolved in an unbelivable speed i think because they have learned to manipulate their evolution on a genetic level.once they have evolved(since chimera thrive in cold) they simply spread all over russia very fast.they didnt immidietly attack europe after russia but it seems their technology is so advanced they manage to manipulate the weather and make it cold so they can thrive
