I may have a stupid question, but I was unable to search answer for my question, so I post it here and hopefully I get an answer :)

I was watching the WW stream, and when Germany "Researched" the Sudetenland territory annex or something (dunno the exact name), he was immediately given these territories.
Also, when he researched the annex of austria, then czechoslovakia, he received an event how to do so, but it was actually always positive for him.
MY question is, can you refuse these events when researched by the nation it is focused on? Can I refuse giving up my land as Czechoslovakia? If yes, what happens to Germany? When he wasted time with "researching" it and then there would be no positive outcome?
Thanks for ur answers and don´t hate me if it is a stupid question :)

Hey Kubusta,

The events he unlocks are not actually research, rather National Focuses which is an independent tree.

Looking at how the have worked so far, for example with Poland there is usually an option for the target country do agree or disagree. In the first iteration of the WWW, Poland actually ceded Danzig, while in the reload they chose war.

So based on the above, I am fairly confident in that given the option from demand Czechoslovakia, if there is a human player he would be presented with a yes/no option and also the consequences of those.

However that being said, if the option for no exists for both Austria and Czechoslovakia exists and the countries then go to war with Germany I don't see how they will not lose that war.

I see.
I am asking mainly because in the stream, Germany might try to ally with USSR-it means to spend a lot of time for researching the treaty and then ? If USSR refuses, you´ve just wasted ur time so it is part of the risk, or is there any compensation, do u know? /cause also, if USSR was a human player, it seems to be pointless to research such treaty if you are not sure if the player is going to accept it or not.
