Research Points vs Citizen Output

I'm playing as Carthage. I have two treasure slots for Carthage, the options I want to use include 2 trade slots, 10% research Points, and 10% Citizen Output.

It seems like the 2 trade slots is a must, so I then must choose between research points and citizen output. Which one is better?

I would choose citizen output, as you have 15 citizens and that will increase your output for each one (research points and manpower).

On the other hand, you are producing 13 research points, an increase of 1.3 is a lot but not as useful as manpower & 0.3 research points.

But depends on your objectives, e.g., if you are playing tall or wide, if you have maximized your research points already, etc…
