Requests for titles

I get these almost monthly, some vassals wanting more kokojin or daimyo titles. Is this normal? It's just making everyone hate me since I don't have any to give away. Even when I was at war and conquering new lands I couldn't conquer fast enough to keep up with demand.

Also, is there somewhere to go to see who you've made promises to? I tend to forget.

I'm not sure where to check up on them, either.

I like the requests, as it creates more negative vassal relations and thus more fractured clans. As long as the relations hit is capped, then it shouldn't be a problem. It sounds like more varied Requests should be included, however, such as having children and attacking various neighbors (like in EU Rome). Seems like they only want more property right now.. unless I'm not seeing it due to not knowing where to look.

Hovering over the relationship numbers will tell you if there is a promise of a title.

I've two games under the belt.

First, I was overwhelmed with those demands and found out that my approach to honour was wrong. The game ended with the clan leader dying with no heir because of leper.

Second game, I was not shy about refusing. It works. Simply dont multiply direct vassals.

I was met with the nasty surprise of losing 5 honor because I couldn't gain a daimyo title in several years so a request I fully intended to fulfill timed out.

Given the new honor costs it can be difficult to get particular titles for this but really you should just reject the majority of these. What I would like is for these events to be done like the hostage exchange, plots, and peace offers- a little circle at the top of the screen that pops out when you click it. Since rejecting most of these seems like the way to go I'd like to just let them time out.
