One thing that I have been constantly whining to find more on is the game sound and music. During all of the WWW they have the music turned down so low.... or off for that matter. Now that said, I understand you obviously we need and want to hear everything our devs are talking about, but we aren't getting a real look at the full experience. Could Daniel please demo some of this?
The preview video that was shown on the GDC stream had some highlights where u could hear those bass filled explosions, battleship cannons pounding, airwings zipping and rifle / machine gun fire. Those small small glimpses sounded fantastic, but we rarely get to hear any of that during the stream. How hard would it be to produce two of the same stream? One with Daniel talking, explaining and one purely of the gameplay, complete with the sound and all that great music playing.
Another question that no matter how many times I bug the hell out of Johan and Podcat.... which I just give up so I'll request it here.... do the units on the field change graphically to represent their technology? And will the sounds also match that technical change. Single fire rifles sounds to full automatic weapons and such? Again... That GDC trailer was quick and not really showing off the extent.
Some of the BEST experiences in gaming comes from sound, at least it certainly adds to it. Could we have this explained or demonstrated?
While not a priority for a lot of people on this forum.... I think it's an integral part of the experience.
