In my research option, it only gives me the option to give AI full control or player control, I do not have the "Research AI" option, why is this? How do I get that option? Please help.

I just checked my game. I've never played any kind of AI control so wasn't sure on the settings available.
I have Normal (full player control), AI Slider control, AI research control, AI control.
I don't know why you don't. Not a clue.
What version are you using? If you're using just basic HOI3, then the other options might have been added in later in expansions. Again, sorry. Not a clue really. But just in case, here's a link to steam for the entire game for $9,00.
