Requesting a youtubers world war wednesday battle

I would make a request here for a youtubers world war wednesday in wich youtubers get to play 1 nation. Like my post if you vote in favour!

The idea would be 8 youtubers playing germany, italy, france, poland, UK, Japan Soviet union & US in which they are assisted by devs through skype. The youtubers then also cast their games on youtube so all of us would be able to see the game from the perspective of one of the players.

The most capable players get the most difficult countries like poland, france, italy, germany (in a multiplayer game germany is more difficult) & Japan. The least veteran players get support of the most veteran devs (daniel, johan, ...)

This would:
1) Help promote the game hoi4
2) Get youtubercasters advice on how to better play the game and take away the "learningclif" for them
3) Give fans the opportunity to look at the game from the country they like most & learn about strategies they might employ


Edit: to be clear, this would not mean 8 people talking in 1 video. This would mean a multiplayer game between 8 youtubers casted 1 time for each person on their own channels (meaning 8 videocasts), preferably with only the dev assigned to the youtubecaster that is playing helping talking with him/her on the teamspeak/skype

Wow, I've been planning to do *this exact thing* for the last few weeks.

I'll be streaming singleplayer for the first few days so I can fully learn the game, but I'll be attempting to rally up at least 4 or 6 people to try to get simultaneous streams going so people can watch from multiple points of view at the same time.

I have at least one other channel lined up besides mine is RnP Rogers. Both of us were heavily involved in casting Company of Heroes games back in the mid aughts.

Videos with multiple people on different sound settings are usually annoying to follow.
And there's always gonna be that one dude that just ruins the whole thing because of the way they speak or because you can't stand their voice.

I seconed the first post and devs MORE TIME get ride of All but Hoi 4 and Stellaris in the streams i mean a 6 hour stream is not long right?

Well to be more clear: I was never intending everyone to all be talking to each other all the time. I forsee each player talking individually to their own stream as if it were a singleplayer game (for the same reasons you describe above). However, before, after, and perhaps during the game after some major event, it might be good to pause the action and have a short (<5 mins) discussion about how the game is going.

Allies would occasionally need to have a small conference, and maybe that would happen organically (just have them jump into individual TS channels).

But the main concept is people being able to jump to multiple sides of the same war and listen to the "general" of each side talking about their plans. It might be a cool experience

You don't understand: they would be broadcasting on their own channels. Just 1 channel 1 caster, not 8 youtubers on the same teamspeak & playing: that would indeed be horrible.

It would be like world war wednesday, with the only difference that the whole game would be viewed only from the perspective of the country that is played and the person broadcasting would be 1 of the 8 youtubers that are streaming the video & putting it on youtube.

What was lacking in www is that you could not choose who to follow, now you will be able and you will get 8 times more hoi4 for the same effort. Paradox will also get 8 times more publicity for the same time spend & probably even less effort as they would become the coaches of the players
