Hello everybody! Few of you know me from lurking in the shadows and posting suggestions and reporting bugs from CK2+ and, occasionally, HIP. Well since the late slowdown of CK2+, I decided that I wanted to create a mod for HIP that focus entirely on roleplay. My mod will be based around Traits and how it affects the decisions that you are able to choose from during events. Best way to explain this is by giving an example. Lets imagine for a second that your ruler is cynical and the Court Chaplain approaches you with the suggestion that you should convert to his heresy. You are given three choices: 1) Refuse and do nothing else 2) Arrest the heathen 3) Embrace the heresy.
Now typically you are able to choose any of those choices regardless of your traits, but with this mod you will be "forced" to pick a specific choice based on the traits your ruler has. In the case of your ruler being cynical, your character will weight his decision on the 3rd option because it will lock you out from the other choices. Now if you have multiple traits that apply to different answers, than in that case you will be able to choose whichever choice you see fit( for example kind and arbitrary). This will ease you in the roleplay aspect of the game, without the need to follow house rules.

Now I am willing to spend days and weeks on such a project, but the problem is that I have no idea were to start and how to apply those changes to make this mod happen. So here I am looking for a kind soul to show me what files to change and how to do it.

Also I would like to ask the HIP players if they would be interested in using such a mod in their HIP gameplay.

I know you must be busy, especially after the recent event with CK2+, so I won't bother you with too much. I just need some guidance on which files I need to edit and how to add those restrictions strings to the events. We can PM each other if you would like. Thank you for the support!
