Requested Not-Seen Events

Has anyone seen/drafted events for the following:

1. US purchase of Alaska (I suppose could be done manually, but knowing the AI and how dear they hold provences, this is probably cost prohibative manually)
2. Spainish-American War (perhaps with an end event allowing Puerto Rico to become a national provience)
3. The Indian Army Mutiny
4. Egyptian Debt crisis leading to UK/French interventionism
5. The Morrocan Crisis(es)
6. U.S. Interventionalism in Morrocco
7. TR's Great White Fleet
8. The large amount of lynchings in the U.S. around the turn of the century
9. The Russo-Japanese War with the U.S. gaining prestige as a result of mediating a peace settlement

Oh, and 10. The British allowing the Germans to gain Tanganyka...

One more (sorry) 11. the 1848 revolt/revolutions throughout Europe...

I've seen the 1848 revolutions, haven't got an event myself (was playing as Columbia) but the event put Europe ut in flames.

Have you checked the event files of those nations?

If not, then you should browse through the threads where those event should belong (North-America and Russia threads for the first, Indian subcontinent for the mutiny etc.) to find what people might have discussed about them already. All help is welcomed in forming new events, please go and contribute!

This event actually exists. It is called "Yellow Press and the sinking of BB Maine" for USA and Spain or "Yellow press and the sinking of BB Arkansas" for CSA (if it does exist at the time of event). And it adds not only Puerto Rico but also Cuba and Phillipines as core provinces for USA (or CSA) if you choose to declare war on Spain.

not so simple

Surely the Spanish American war can't be so simple as 'The Yellow Press and the Battleship Maine' - the whole conflict in Spain between liberals and conservatives and the effects on the Spanish colonies surely had something to do with it. Besides, America wasn't the only one who wanted the Spanish colonies - Germany had its eye on them as well.

Also, see my post in the General Forum about the Ottoman Empire and WW1. I think there should be some events that can swing Ottoman opinions to Germany.

I've found it quite easy and cheap to buy provinces actually... As Schwitzerland I bought most of Austrias northern Italian provinces, including the powerhouse Milano for about 1-2 techs each. As Sweden/Scandinavia I bought Finland from Russia, for about 1 tech for each province... All you need is a surplus of techs and good relations...

I've played the CSA twice now, and I've never seen the Sinking of the BB Arkansas event trigger, forcing me to do it manually. I've checked the Spanish files, and there seems to be nothing which sleeps it or the Spanish version (which triggers it).

I've done some events on the Treaty of San Stefano and the Congress of Berlin as well, anyone want to test them?
