Playing as a count I used this decision to ask my liege (a duke) for one of his many duke titles, because after 40 years without a single fabricated claim I became bored 
I have continued to play for 5 more years (still no claim) hoping for the title but somehow all I got was a letter from my liege telling me that my loyalty surley will be rewarded (as I understood it he would put in a good word for me with the emperor). So I tried to take a look at the event files but I dont fully understand them. As far as I see, it started with event 63040 (events/vassal_request_events.txt) which has something in it with mean_time_to_happen = 480 month (???) but since within 4 days the next event (liege receives request) 63041 starts I have no idea what that mtth is used for. (I doubt that I realy have to wait about 40 years since the whole thing is labeld character_event and most rulers dont have that much time)
In 63041 there are now the 3 options, accept, deny and "deny with superior diplomacy" and even though I would have guessed that I had an accept maybe telling me that its now up to his superior is my lieges superior diplomatic way to tell me to shove it? *confused*
So if someone how knows the event, knows how to understand the code or knows where I can find the files containing "EVTDESC63042"/"EVTDESC63005" could give me any pointers I would realy appriciate it.
