If there would be another start date i would hope for a 1945, nations in ruins, and the start of the cold war soon becoming hot with new trees and expanded timeline and techs. Obviously a big war with SU and the West just about to start.

Sounds like every historical game I ever finished so far (defeated Axis)
minus the extended tech - sooner or later some random AI country with a leftover Conquer Focus will start a war almost immediately every time and bring in the entire faction vs other entire faction. So much for peace and historical games...I played one very long game with Extended Tech Tree 1960 mod, it really is nice to have if you plan to fight beyond the classic 'Axis dead' scenario.
