of course I meant random but per culture.

No problem to get those lists in EU:R but with the need of more characters and without the name of the fief to help (ex "James"+"of England") it may be a little more complicated.
As examples :
Rome : name+cognomen "Caïus Julius"+"Caesar"
Carthage : name+nickname "Hannibal"+"one-eyed" or first name + name "Hannibal"+"Barca" (it may be more difficult to find real names)
Gaul : name+nickname "Catuvolcos"+"the powerful" (tricky as the name already has a meaning : Catuvolcos=Fighting Hawk, so maybe we could choose only one name as we can find a few hundred gaul names)
etc.

Like this:

The only possible choice could be the ability to choose your character's praenomen - Titus, Caius, Appius, or Marcus, etc.
I'm unfamiliar with RTW, but I think this is a good idea. The cognomen should, I think, attach itself to the character over time, as the character begins to establish himself in some distinctive way.bushbush said:just my opinion:
It'd be awesome if EU:Rome can use the name system in RTW.
like the character develops a nickname over time, like "the builder" "the attacker" "the cunning" or "victor"
