Hi!

When you declare war, there is a checkbox to invite all allies. This one says, which ally would join the war and which one would not,
BUT it does not say why they don't want to join.

This is a little bit annoying; I would like to see why they don't want to join, so I can do something about it.

Can you please expand this Interface, to make it possible? Or is it already possible somehow before declaring war?

Not only that but most of the time it is inaccurate. Often times you will notice it says Ally will join the war and click on the auto call ally checkbox and then after declaring war you will find that refuse the Call to Arms.
Totally random and damned frustrating. Really needs a full overhaul.

There's a lot of UI improvements that they can make. For example, I always have +1 Diplo Relations in place so that I can have the convenient little "You have too many diplo relations" icon. Hovering over that gives you a quick way to view your current relations with all of your allies and the relation type (RM/Alliance/Vassal/etc). This helps me keep my relations up with my allies and it also helps when I miss a RM died notification so i can renew it.

That said, I never use the Call to Arms check box, I just use the hover info as a general guide since it's often wrong. But I agree with the OP, it would be nice to know why someone won't join your war BEFORE going to war. If it's something simple like they have a truce expiring in a few days, that would be nice to know. However, I think they will need to fix the accuracy of the hover first.

+1 This can easily make or break a war. I often spend years and years of game time to get the alliances needed to win a war I plan on waging to only see that none of them want to join.

Yes. It's not good when the UI lies to the player outright.

You know you get the exact same tool-tip by hovering over the "dip relations/dip relations cap" in your countries diplomatic screen, right?

Sacrilege! I've been eating -1 Diplo Points every month for nothing... I'll try this when I get home.

Regardless, it would be nice to see it in front of you :) Most of the time I'm surprised when the "You have too many diplo relations" icon pops up because I forgot to terminate a military access somewhere.

I think the knowledge about the reasons of allies for not joining your war, would add even more depth to the game :D Because then you could try to solve their problems to execute your evil, very very evil plans :p
Often they don't go to war, because they are in debt (-70 Modifier). This one is easy to solve, if you have a strong economy.
