The reputation gives you a hint on your badboy score, to see the exact number hover the mouse over your reputation.

Your badboy score will affect how likely other countries are to ally you or DoW you for example.

Annex them! Then just deal with those pesky rebels

Tried it. For every nation I annex four more declares war on me. In the end (a couple of hours later) I stand there broken and can do nothing to stop the invaders. No money, no manpower and with a people in revolution mode.

I was joking a bit - I used to always have high BB (I just couldn't resist taking one more provence...) better if you vasalise as part of peace deals then diplo annex later. If your BB is crazy high, try creating lots of vassles to get BB down. That might calm the world down a bit.

Seems you've encountered the bb-wars, which can be fun (and necessary) to perform a WC. But you got to be prepared.

One tip: try playing the game on a lower difficultylevel and/or AI aggressivenesslevel, that'll reduce the nations who DOW you.

I am not sure but does any of you watching an reputacion during the game?? :(
Reputacion afects in the game???

I would say I am preoccupied with my reputation or rather my relations with others. :> I think it is the more important the smaller you are, and since I usuallu start as 2-3 prov state - I care for my reputation. Or is there any psychological theory to explain that? :D

One more question - how does declaring a war worsen your relations with others? How much and regarding whom?

pozdrav :)

Other nations aren't the worst threat. Even in situation where you are mightiest and can defeat other powers, there is one more serious threat. It's CIVIL WAR. If your BB is high enough you will get civil war -event sooner or later. Your best armies and provinces will become rebels and it's actually very hard to keep empire in one peace if this happens. Even harder it is if other powers use the opportunity and DOW you.

If you declare war on some country your relation will be worsen by, of course, this country and country who is in relation to you neutral and, I think, with country that you have not a royal marrige and some whose are with you at "light green" reputation. They relationship will be lithle bit damaged! Of course if you declare war an country who had alliance the country's in alliance will low your relationship with you...

Reputation is important, but when i see the slightest chance of a civil war, i board all my armies on huge navies, wait for the civil war to happen, and just as the rebels think they rule everything, swoop in and anihilate them.

Always have a good reputation if you are looking for a quiet time. If you are looking for wars, being above your BB limit at very hard can be quite useful, since you do not take any stabhits to dow or have to fabricate CBs. other countries just attack you(and if you are at negative stab, increase it for you)
