For some reason I cant trade for iron.
I only get a text about "no trade route" or such.
But I still hold Madrid, 72 transports and several ports so I dont know what the problem is.
Any guess?

I wonder if this is related to something that happened to me a couple times in a recent playthrough while assisting the Spanish Republic as France. All of a sudden some of my units wouldn't reinforce, having a 'No Supply From Capitol' message when I looked into it. That made no sense, we held Madrid and most all ports and the units affected were not cut off in any way, they were on the south coast by Valencia and everything to the North coast and French border was Republican Spain. Madrid might have had Nats adjacent to it, but you could still find a route out the other side where the supply route didn't even have a Nat hex next to it.

It is related: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...r-volunteers-use-inconsistent-source.1297635/

The bug report's screenshot should also illustrate what @Bunnytob said. Although La Mancha got split into Ciudad Real and Guadalajara since a year ago when the bug was reported, it is still very easy to lose control of both, while visually and in terms of normal supply there is still a wide connection to the capital.

Thanks for connecting the dots, bitmode. I remember this problem in 1.7.1, and couldn't figure out why, and then it suddenly disappeared once the war turned in favor of the Republicans a bit more.

It's sad that this still happens even after the Spanish state redesign in La Resistance. I'm hoping that this gets addressed with the supply rework in an upcoming DLC.
