Report on President You Ouyang of Republic of Sol’s presidency
By Chief Chronicler Markus Grebe
The Presidency of President You Ouyang was largely dominated huge societal changes. The first three years were a silent period, but in 2388 the conquered planets previously belonging to the Qasvalyvians collapsed out of Sol’s control, as the hive population could not live separated from the rest of the hive. Largescale recolonization was then initiated and the whole area was reclaimed well before the end of President Ouyang’s term. In 2389 the remains of Qasvalyvia Prime were conquered by the Cynur, and the scourge was finally gone from the face of the galaxy. Only a few planets with dying hive populations remained, and was estimated to be gone by 2399.
The conflict between the meta-humans and regular humans of La Isabela continued, with largescale terror bombings a regular occurrence.
But in Sol as a whole, the idea of genetic perfection was embraced fully, and in 2388 – at the same time as the recolonization program started, President Ouyang initiated the first of many waves of genetic engineering. The goal was to remake humanity into something better, more suitable for life among the stars.
The first wave saw 71 billion humans living on ocean worlds getting an oceanic preference, that is they now was perfectly suited for life on oceanic planets. They also got higher intelligence and improved skills in physics.
In 2392, with the first wave being a big success, the second wave was initiated. 45 billion humans living on tropical worlds was engineered to be better suited for such planets, as well as bettering their intelligence and skills in physics.
The next year wave three and four was started. First out was the 19 billion humans living on tundra worlds. They were made stronger and more intelligent, and adapted to living on the cold tundra planets.
Then came the humans living on desert worlds. The 23 billion in question was made better suited to desert life, more intelligent and better sociologists.
The fifth, sixth, seventh and eight waves – which were the last done under President Ouyang – was all done in 2394. First out was the 25 billion humans living on alpine worlds, which were made stronger, more intelligent and better suited for life on these planets.
Then came the 18 billion living on savannah worlds. They were made more intelligent, better engineers and better suited for living on these planets.
The 21 billion humans living in arctic worlds got changed to stronger, more intelligent versions of themselves, and made more suitable for arctic life.
Lastly, the biggest change in scope of them all. The remaining human species, 132 billion living mostly on continental planets like our home planet Earth, but also some billions living on tomb worlds not belonging to the meta-human species. All was made more intelligent and better physicists. Humanity was now universally better than before. Who knows what the future brings?
Map of Republic of Sol anno 2396
The map of the north-western part of the galaxy has changed immensely the last couple decades. In the old Qasvalyvian territories, Sol controlled most – with the Cynur Stellar Pact having taken the rest – but failed, so far at least, to colonize the now empty planets left behind after the hive withered and died.
During the Presidency of You Ouyang nine new planets had been colonized, seven of which were previous Qasvalyvian inhabited planets.
These were firstly Negev on the old Qasvalyvian planet of Hugivv Vvada, in the Chiiban system. This was a desert world with little of natural resources:
Then there were Port Karasov on the old Qasvalyvian planet of Bovven Vvada, in the Biham system. Another desert planet:
Third we had New Troy on the old Qasvalyvian planet of Qadater, in the Ipiescilia system. This small planet is a Gaia world, beautiful to behold!
Fourth is Nozomi on the old Qasvalyvian planet of Qvoboll Civa, in the Thaaram system. This is an arid world with some potential:
Fifth is Akatsuki on the old Qasvalyvian planet of Arlav Vvada, in the Orglion system. This savanna world shows potential in several areas:
Sixth is Tabernas on the old Qasvalyvian planet of Zedva viba-Filavv, in the Hirim system. This is another arid world:
Lastly of these old Qasvalyvian planets is Al-Matabbah, a savanna world that the Qasvalyvians called Zedva viba-Filavv. It has good potential both for mining and science output:
Then there is the two planets colonized between these old Qasvalyvian planets – planets deemed not suitable for the hive. First of these is Alaska in the Botein system, an arctic world which already has an immense energy output owing to the deposits of bethorian stone:
Lastly is Amazonia, a tropical world in the Sallax system. The planet has a great potential owing to its deposits of bethorian stone, but is rather small and needs to be cleansed of its massive jungles before it can reach its true potential:
Thus, ends the report.
