Well, I suppose being sent to a new Babylon without destruction is kind of a win. But come to think of it, Jeremiah does say that in her peace you will find your peace.

As I don't have Stellaris the output doesn't say much to me but that is me of course . You could add them but you might indeed risk a bit of picture overload, although I personally wouldn't mind more screenshots.

Ah, I see. Well, you can at least compare the numbers I guess. I plan to do an empire overview when we come to 2350, I conveniently had an election then.

Go go Sol! Keep on writing, and expansion, especially when there are willing xenoi, is a nice thing to have, until you press upon other borders. They dislike that.

All: I have the next update written up, but I'm struggling with the next one. Writers block and all that. The next one after that is where I've got ingame, and right now little is happening, so I'm unsure what to do to make it fun to read. As such, the speed of updates might get a bit slower from now on, both due to the above, but also due the game now running considerably slower. My PC is good, but it seems Stellaris still think slowing down is a good idea.

Report on President Heektor of Republic of Sol’s presidency

The reign of President Heektor is a landmark in the history of the Republic of Sol. As a Sintomoroi, he is the first non-human to be elected to the presidency of Sol. His presidency was the start of a renewed buildup of the economy, letting our powerful allies be our shield while our economy, which had suffered much under the strain of colonization, to revive itself. This is not to say he did not continue colonizing, but he only did so late in his term, his focus for the rest of his one term was one of infrastructure buildup, with a focus on mineral and, to a lesser degree, science output. As such, only Salaam was finished colonized when he left office.

The galactic map was pretty much unchanged after his term, as there had been no wars and the colonization had been inside existing borders.

Salaam was successfully colonized shortly after President Heektor took office. This tomb world in the Escont system has a lot of potential in the science department.

Report on President Desmond Fry of Republic of Sol’s presidency

President Fry’s time in office was dominated by an intense buildup of the infrastructure of the republican planets. It was clear that this was a shifting time in the galaxy. Good friends became friends, but more withdrawn, as the Vrinn and their federation allies grew tighter. At the borders of the republic and their now only federation partner the Orassians, the horrifying devouring swarm of Qasvalyvia Prime was growing, and was now one of the strongest forces in the galaxy.


The Orassians, who were closest to them, begged the republic to join in a war against them, to stop them before it was too late. President Fry to his frustration and horror realized that the republican navy was no match for the technological advanced Qasvalyvians, who also had a much bigger navy. He agreed to war, but warned the Orassians that Sol could not help with offensive actions. During the war and after, President Fry improved the economy of Sol immensely, thus making the necessary improvements to increase the fleet later on, as well as giving the republic a much-needed improved technological output. The Korinth Forerunners were also concerned and offered the republic some technologies to help further us. These measures made it possible for the republic to christen her first battleship close to the end of President Fry’s term, and largely increase the fleet size. The war ended in a white peace and no gains, but at least the swarm was stopped from spreading elsewhere due to this distraction.


Another change seen under Fry’s presidency, was the reform of Sol’s government. The republic was from the start a beacon of liberty, and based on a good dose of idealism, but under his leadership environmentalism also became a defining part of governance. This meant in practical terms a much-needed improvement in resource surplus, as waste management became better and thus less resources were used in vain.

President Fry oversaw three new planets settled, the first of which were Hyrcania in the Tediss system. This planet is an ocean world, which is tidally locked around her mother star. This means half the planet is always in daylight, with the other one being eternally in darkness. This is not optimal for habitation, but to counter this the planet also has a natural occurring aphrodisiac in her atmosphere.

The second new planet colonized is New Roanoke in the Mothellum system. A continental world optimal for human habitation, this planet has a strong magnetic field which further energy and physics output.

Third and last is Nova Arabia, a desert world situated in the Chertan system. This world is plagued with a hostile fauna, but has already grown to be a productive planet when it comes to research and energy.

All: I'm playing on today, and I notice something weird. This is from the continuation war of the one above. Qasvalyvia doesn’t leave their borders. They have one navy thrice our size, but the federal navy is equal our size, so we have 2/3 of their strength, and we are exploiting their indecisiveness and are building corvettes en masse. Here is where it gets weird though. Our navy: 3 battleships, 2 cruicers, 34 destroyers, 43 corvettes. Federal fleet has 8 battleships, 2 cruisers, 6 destoryers, 2 corvettes. But both are of equal size, ours is 9945, federal is of 9849 strength. I use auto upgrade as I don't understand the ship builder enough to bother with it. Does this seem right? I think I use lasers.

Report on the state of the Republic of Sol anno 2350

The Republic of Sol is, despite the possibility for alien leadership, dominated by the human species. 279 billion humans live within her borders, while the other six species living in Sol numbers a total of 79 billion, in addition to 9 billion robots. The Sintomoroi only number 12 billion in 2350, and they were even less back when Heektor was elected President. But Sol is a tolerant society and all sentinent species within her borders have full citizenship with all the rights this entails.

The core republican planets number fifteen, all but one is self-sufficient in food production. The economic power house when it comes to mineral production is Asgard, which in itself produces 71 minerals, a whopping 25% of the total surplus of 282 minerals the republic has each month. Several of the planets produce much science, but Atlantis is the definitely most productive with a total science output of 41 units. The most productive planet in energy output is Dawn, which has 21 energy units produced per month.

In addition to these planets, a total of thirteen planets are under the administrative control of four sectors, which are well developed on all fields other than food output, which is to put it bluntly disastrously meagre. All sectors require massive food subsidies from the core worlds.

Sol also controls a few rare and important resources, which gives the republic various bonuses to combat, food output and terraforming.

When it comes to power in fleet size and technology, the republic has been lagging behind. And while this is getting improved with the recent infrastructure and fleet buildup, much is yet to be done. Thankfulle most alien empires are on a good footing with Sol.

The following summary of the budget and the various outputs of the economy is as such:

The Republic of Sol is the founding member of the Stellar Compact, at this time led by the only other full member of the Federation, the Citizen State of Orassia. Sol is the bigger part, but Orassia has the biggest contribution to the federate navy, armies and has lost many ships defending the galaxy against the devouring swarm on their borders. The galaxy and Sol thanks them.
