Report on President Enrique Soldana of Republic of Sol’s presidency
By Chief Chronicler Fredrik Wester
President Enrique Soldana governed the Republic of Sol for slightly more than two terms. The start was a precarious time for the republic, as her navy had just been beaten hard. Thankfully her ally in the Federation, the Orassians, still had their navy intact and laid between Sol and her enemies. As such, President Soldana could confidently rebuild the fleet back home while the war was won for him. In the end the Orassians got two new planets and Sol got through the end of the enemy atrocities in the resulting treaty.
A slight setback happened on another front though. The Fallen Empire of the Korinthians demanded human specimens for their conservation efforts, in case humankind exterminated themselves, they claimed. Seeing how overwhelmingly strong the Korinthians were, President Soldana had to comply. And with the stroke of a pen, a billion humans were forcibly transported to an uncertain future inside the Korinthian empire.
On the international stage, the main event during his reign was the partly breakup of the Federation. The Vrinn, who had almost been convinced to join the Federation as a full member, decided to create their own Federation, and took with them half of the associated members of the Stellar Compact. Internally, the big accomplishment of President Soldana was the colonization of no less than seven new planets, and the preparation of the colonization of an eight. The latter was an impressive feat, as it was the colonization of a tomb world; a world wrecked by nuclear winter and previously deemed impossible to live on. Science advanced though, and by now it was possible. This task was sadly not finished when President Soldana, who had suffered from pancreatic cancer for half a decade, succumbed to his illness in 2313.

Underneath you can see the large expansion of Sol’s territory by the end of President Soldana’s terms. Due to lack of connecting hyperlanes, access to these territories need to be done through the space of the Vrinn Confederacy.
The first new planet to be colonized under President Soldana’s reign was New Jerusalem in the Enkef system. This artic planet, situated in an enclave in the galactic north, have a big population of Tezhnids.
Next was Ordos in the Nishpan system. This desert world has a diverse population of humans, Kel-Azaans and Vissaris.
Terra Nova in the Hykkan system is a, for humans, delightful continental world, and most of the population is human, but the planet is also home to two billion Zemmerpuks.
Concord in the Zempek system is one of the few new planets to only have sizeable population of humans. It is an ocean world with a rich asteroid belt surrounding it.
Vulcan in the Uchxyke system is a pretty unique planet in the republic’s fold. It’s the only one of three planets not to have a sizeable humkan population, being wholly inhabited by Sintomoroi.
The other planet to not have a sizeable human population is Olympia in the Gauzor system. Populated mainly by Vissaris and Kel-Azaans, it’s an inhospitable planet to our kind, with high gravity and a hostile fauna.
Lastly, there is Lut in the Chisellion system. The third in a row to be uninhabitable for humans for the time being, it is inhabited by Vissaris and Kel-Azaans. It has wild storms and is frequently hit by asteroids.
Thus, ends the report.
