For all Krakow empire-builders: what if there will be scripted anexation event in 1846 ?
BTW after 1866 Poles gained large autonomy in Austria and where one of empire`s most loyal subjects (you can still find Franz Joseph portraits in Krakow ) so John Poole is pretty much right

EDIT: Krakow was annexed in 1846, 1848

Historically during 1953 the Crimean war 300,000 Russian army was on the Austrian border, including in its Polish territories. Austria mobilised and deployed on the Russian border, thus neutralised the main part of the Russian army without war.

Damn, I didn't know there where those kinds of troop deployments in the Crimea at the end of the Korean War! Must have been one hell of a maskrivoka project by the Soviets.

Yes great Franz Joseph , there is "Cabaret" pub in Cracow near Jagiellonian University main buildings where you can see his big portrait . But I think that Franz Joseph lived too long and this fact stopped important reforms in Austro-Hungarian Empire

Franz Joseph was a good guy-but not a great Emperor and a lousy father and husband to boot...but yes I think 68 years a little too long for anybody to rule a nation. Especially an especially difficult one like the Austrian Empire. However one thing that always confused me about Franz Joseph: what happened to that freaky underbite his ancestors have...why he doesn't look like an inbred freak at all unlike Charles V!

I hope to turn the Empire into the "Danubian Confederation of the Nations of the Austrian Empire" though I dont know how much can really be done to reform it. Hopefully Poland will simply be another of those Nations and all Poles can happily live under the wings of the Double Eagle!

Bah wouldn't have brought it up if that Russian guy hadn't gone there first! Besides I meant in English of course that for some reason we call that bird the same as their ethnic group even though they had the name first.

Yes the Spanish call it a 'pavo' and the French call it a 'dindon' but well no countries are called Pavonia or Dindonistan so obviously I was meaning the English word!
