I just started following this, and I must say that I'm impressed! Great job putting the story together, with excellent use of pictures! ;) Hope you can turn against the Habsburgs without too much loss of face soon.

About Krakow
In 1794, during the French Revolution, Kraków was the center of a revolutionary uprising led by Kosciuszko, and in 1795 it was seized by Austria. Fourteen years later, Napoleon incorporated the city into the duchy of Warsaw. Following Napoleon's downfall, the Congress of Vienna in 1815 made Kraków the capital of the independent republic of Kraków. This republic was incorporated into Austria in 1846.

Got it from here..[/QUOTE]

You didn't say that it was incorporated after inspired by Austrian gouvernors Peasant Uprising, called "Rabacja Chłopska"

1875-1876: Rescurrection of Poland
It was the time.

It was decided that Poland would be crated at the start of the year 1876, then the army would have gotten even more men, and fortification would be ready.

Before the end of october, 400 thousand men were mobilized, and ready to defend Krakow, future Poland. Krakow also had almost same amount of trained soldiers, one fourth of them were dragoons, three fourths were infantry.

January 1st, 1876, few days after the death of Siciñski, Krakow declared, that it was Poland. It was a surprise, that both Austria and Russia accepted Poland fully, but Prussia declared war on 24th January.

DARN! My shot on become Poland-event didn't apper somehow..

A bit short this time, as my Vic started to flick, and restarting Vic didn't help. Maybe a new update today.

Ahh one question how did you become Poland instead of Cracow - by some self made script?

As said couple of times - I scripted an event to do that, though it is still so buggy that I cannot post it, and though I promised to fix it during last weekend, the pure evil Star Wars: Knights of the old republic ate my time.

Still, even though it sounds silly, in MP it could be possible - they are dirt-poor provinces, and I gave them a lot of tech and money.

And I really mean DIRT-POOR...

Update - at last

The end: Why?
The 1.02 patch pretty much changed the economy - lots of my imported goods were quickly depleted from world market, and my economy wasn't ready for it. Even though I could have survived, I didn't want to try.

Also, there wasn't a lot to do - only couple of wars.

Well. A lot of thanks to everyone for appriciating my work with my first AAR, maybe a second AAR will follow with the new patch (as I get familiar with this patch)

The events making Poland
I'll be opening a thread to the scenario-forum as I make them more ready.

If many people want the unfinished versions, I can post them here though.

great great great aar

and i m not polish :D ...
yes poland was once great and huge and had a lot of
russian and ukranian lands under them especially
when russia was under the mongol yoke , but it changed
after it emerged from it lands were gotten back.
I could even say that poland is itself to blame for loosing most
of ukraine , when they choze to force the orthodoxy to recognize
they are underlings of the latin catholisism the don cossacs
rose and made a nice bloody rebuttal.

I remember watching a documentary on channel 13 how 400k+ of
poles were slaughtered by the cossacs as they reaped havok
going all the way to krakow. Not sure the year 1400-1600 somewhere
there. really dont remember

I hope you buy allenstein and leave lwov and belyastok
to your ally I really think Russia should have all cores on ukraine
at that time since it was a elected union. After the nice little raid
the orthodoxy + cossac leaders went to ask for aid and unity to
protect against the aggresive catholics. :)

You know Russia coulda been catholic all it would have taken is 1 battle lost
not positive but northern Russia ergo novgorod etc main northern centers coulda been turned catholic if 1 battle was lost it was in 12xxs against the germans fought by Nevsky that saved us I guess.

Long story, if you are really interested in learning something more, try Pawel Jasienica books (I'm pretty sure some of them are translated to Russian). You can be interested by the polish view of our involvement in XV-XVII crisis of Muscovy...

Well, Cossacs went to Tartars first, so maybe those territories should be considered their core? And remember about Sweden - in 1656 they joined alliance with Sweden and sweared their loyality to Carolus Gustavus. :D

XIX century is not XVII - it's nationalism era, so Ukraine, Lithiania, Latvia and Estonia shouldn't be Russia national provinces. Or at least should be removed from Russian core in the second half of the century.

Yeah, but what about Mongols? Do you really think that Teutonic Knights could turn this tide? Short period of their rule, then back to Mongols, than Muscovy...
As many battles, Pskov battle was used as a propaganda tool - the evidence, that Russians always opposed Germans - both by Tzar Nicolai (Great War) and communists (II WW)....

Ok, but we are off topic now... That was one fine AAR, Elmokki! :D

well

yes the tatars of the crimea helped in the attack no denying that
but there is good reason why i say it coulda made northern russia
catholic. for one novgorod was the only city/region that didnt get
subjugated under the khan. It payed its taxes to the grand duke
who payed to the khan thats true but it wasnt effected directly
and sometimes refused to pay taxes and didn't was very very hard
to force it until ivan grozny stoped the existance of the Novgorodian
Republic. So theoreticly if Alexander Nevsky lost to the teutons...
Its hypothetical heh, also russia was already under the mongols at that
time the khan was even supportive and sent aid to Nevsky to help
aid in defense of the domain.

Yes the cossacs went to everyone asking for help tartars, sweeden, russia but there is no denying the reason for it after the edict to bring the church to latinization. After mongol yoke got lifted russia just reasserted itself so poland had to give back all russian lands more or less and then some. The crimean khan also aided them in the raid they loved rapin/pillagin heh.

Woulda also been more interesting if you guys became orthodox.
