Not planning on doing a big post, just curious if there's going to be a non-campaign mode or, if there is, to play without having to worry about the AI blobbing. Sometimes I just like to take my time and have fun - one of my fears is that this game is going to be "20 hours worth of gameplay," and that after 20 hours I might never touch it again

Horse Demon said the following to me in another thread when I asked about skirmish mode and replayability:

The game has three skirmish maps, each with its own "game mode", offering different challenges against the AI. We knew folks would want to learn the ropes beyond the tutorial (or just blast away) so they could "properly" tackle the campaign (which does have a difficulty though, so you're not thrown into the deep end right away).

The game wasn't really built with endless replay in mind. It's a focused experience with very high production values. It's akin to an "event movie" if it were a film. But we knew that we had to have some levels in there that are not a part of the campaign, even if it only costs around twenty bucks, so there you go!
