I just found my venerable EU II cd and it looks like my son used it as a teething aid sometime last year. Two small holes with radiating cracks at about the mandibular distance of his canine teeth.

On gamersgate I see an EU II Asia that says it has everything EU II does.

Suitable replacement? Not buggier?

Thanks

If EU2 is still installed on your PC you can backup the entire folder and possibly the shortcuts. It will be useful if you need to install on another PC by just copying the entire folder and adapt shortcuts if necessary. AFAIK, it will work (and you have the license).

Otherwise, you will have to buy EU2 (standard... not Asia) again...

Is it still installed at your computer? I found out I don't need the CDs to play it. I discovered it by chance, as I thought I had the disk in and later discovered that I didnt' and the game started anyway. However on my mums laptop it wanted the disks, so I'm not sure why it works without on my machine and not on mums

patch 1.09 - no disk patch
(i love paradox for that)
Actually I play on 1.07 :)

The 2 last patches seem to be 90% for multiplayer. I do miss the straits though. It says in teh 1.07 patch ntoes that there is straits between England and France and between Sweden and Denmark, but there is none. Not between Spain and north africa either. Is it possible to mod in those straits without getting the 2 last patches or is it hardcoded in some way?
