Repeatable CtD with Timurid Empire, July 30th 1463

I can't get past July 30th, 1463 playing the Timurid Empire as I get an error message reporting that line 431 in the "monarchs.asu" file gives an unexpected value, etc. I've looked at the file but I can't find anything wrong. I'm not even sure what country .asu is (not austria is it??). Anyway if you want the save file I've got it ready to send. Would like to know what is going on because my Timurid game is actually going very well, having lots of fun. Hope someone can help.

Oh yeah, sorry: 1.07b, Feb 28th Beta, no mods, no edits, plain good old fashioned patching, even a clean install.

edit: Sorry, I've been testing some more and this CtD error doesn't always happen on July 30th, 1463. The last time I tried it, it happened on Sept. 30th, 1463, but it was the same error (line 431 of monarchs.asu).

You have just to edit the file and enter some values.

Interesting; thank you for the quick reply! I'm curious, though; why would the game suddenly notice this and crash in 1463 when the monarch doesn't come to power until 1625?

Regardless, I am off to fix this. I think this monarch deserves 1/1/1 for my trouble, don't you?

Never mind all, I figured it out! As soon as I fixed the problem as Djambo so rightfully suggested, I loaded my game and saw that after one of my CtD dates, the nation of Asturias (sp?), which is appearently in the NW region of Spain, declared independence from Castile and that was causing the problem: as soon as the nation was declared the computer checked its monarch file and saw the non-values for that one monarch. BOOM! CtD!

Anyway, it's all good now, hope anyone else who discovers this particular problem can find the answer as well as I did (thanks again Djambo).

I still gave that monarch 1/1/1. Stupid monarch. Country won't even survive until 1625 anyway.

My guess would be that Asturia appears right at the point the CTD occurs. The game is searching through the monarchlist to find the right one and stops at Eugenia de Habsburgo. This one has no values and bam: CTD. :wacko:

Just guessing though.
