Election Violence
On September 21, President Hoover announced that the elections would go ahead and the constitution would not be suspended. Meanwhile, chaos has broken out in Spain. Carlists and communists have split from the Kingdom of Spain, and have started a civil war. The Commune of France announced its support for the communists and began moving supplies into Iberia.
The elections went forward on November 4, 1936. Republican Charles Curtis was elected president of the United States. The Combined Syndicates of America contested the election results and demanded that the Curtis Administration invite thier leaders in. President Curtis refused to be blackmailed and ignored thier demands. On November 17, the CSA declared independence in the region around Chicago. While the US Government was trying to solve the problem peacefully, the American Union State declared independence. The two radical groups started fighting each other, and the United States decided to put an end to the rebellions.
The US Army swiftly moved into the communist-held states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Brave American soldiers faught on all fronts against the fascist and communist militias. The military met little resistance from the untrained "people's militias" of the CSA. Fourty US Army divisions surrounded and destroyed nine Syndicalist divisions in Pittsburgh. This was a serious blow to the communists' war efforts, causing them to be pushed back by the American Union State as well.

The forces of fascism and communism were being pushed back by the United States of America. The American Union capital of New Orleans was captured by American forces a few weeks after the start of the civil war. The CSA's demoralized militias retreated out of Chicago and the city fell to the US Military. The communists are getting crushed from the east and west, with only one full state under thier control. The Americans rounded up several CSA and American Union State cabinet members in the offensives.
Canada demanded Alaska for thier continued support, and President Curtis refused. Meanwhile, the violence in Europe has reached new levels. The Commune of France has intervened in Spain on behalf of the communists, causing Italy to declare war on them. Germany is staying out of the conflict, but is sending supplies to the Kingdom of Spain. The Second American Civil War seems to be going well for the United States. Can the USA pull back together and save Europe?

Great AAR so far ES, though while we are on political semantics regarding monarchism not being despotic i'd just like to mention that anarcho-syndicalism isn't communism either practically or technically.

You are doing well against the rebels it seems, that is nice. It seems like you might soon need to open yet an other front, those Canadians are asking to be punished I think, claiming Alaska like that. Looking forward to it
