Renaming units

Maybe this question seems completely moronic, but still - when I try to rename the units, then although I can use period in the name of the army corps, but not when I try to use a period in the name of the division. Example: playing Prussia I have "I. Korps", "II. Korps" etc. and I want my division be named f. e. "1. Infanteriedivision" and so on, but I can't, because every time I push the period key the game just doesn't let to do it.
Is there any way beside tweaking the save game file to use a period in division names?

Try zooming out all the way first. On the map, I mean.
If that doesn't work, maybe it's got something to do with your NUM LOCK.
I use . in all unit names. It can be done.

Weird. It does't help, zooming out doesn't help and I don't think there should be something wrong with my keyboard or caps lock. Does someone else maybe have a similar problem?

You can, of course, edit the file 'unitnames' in your db folder. Just put in the national tag (eg. ARG for Argentina) then a ';' and then a number from 0-22 (0 for Infantry, 1 for Cavalry, 2 for Dragoons and the rest for various ship classes).

If you do this, then when you build units they automatically come with the names prescribed in that file. If you want, I can send you a PM with a all of the information for that file complete.
