The name of the cybernetic ascension path's AP, "The Flesh is Weak", no longer represents the ascension adequately, since it is no longer a "ditch the flesh in favor of metal", but rather, "merge flesh and machine together".

I would like it to be changed to something that represents the path's new form better.

Possibilities that come to my mind are:
  • "Cybernetic Age" (giving The Flesh is Weak to what is currently "Synthetic Age", since that one does outright ditch the flesh).
  • Biomechanical Age/Ascension/Elevation/whatever you come up with
  • Marriage of Flesh and Machine
These are just examples. Any name anyone comes up with is fine as long as it properly represents the union between flesh and machine.

I'm fairly certain it's a reference to Adeptus Mechanicus and, obliquely, "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak".

"There is no truth in flesh, only betrayal."
"There is no strength in flesh, only weakness."
"There is no constancy in flesh, only decay."
"There is no certainty in flesh but death.
"
and
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.

Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you.

But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal.
(emphasis mine)

Adeptus Mechanicus are very much a "flesh sucks, but we can make it better" cybernetic trope-source, for cybernetic ascension. They do use robots, but as I understand it, the bulk of their forces/organization are cyborgs (or technically-cyborgs, for Servitors). I don't think even the Adeptus Mechanicus use many sentient robots.

AFAIK they don't use sentient machines purely because they're legally forbidden from using AIs (hence why they clone servitors, lobotomize them, and use them as the computers for their machines). But if they could, I am certain they would absolutely go 100% pure machine. Just my guesswork from what I've heard on the topic.

All in all, the name made sense in the "gradual conversion from flesh to machine" sense it had before, but since that's no longer the case...

How about "Sapient and Machine" cuz Man and Machine would really apply more to humans and human like species.

Cybernetic Synthesis.

Or, if you don't want to overlap with Synthetics, Cybernetic Gestalt.

Alternatively alternatively just steal the Hive-Mind perk name. Organo-Machine Interfacing is perfectly fine.
