I would like to suggest a name change for Mongolia.
In 1444 (and even until 1821) there was no Mongolia. After the collapse of the Mongolian Empire the mongol controlled areas were named after the dominating tribes or their dynasty.
Thats why we have Oirats, Buryats and so on. The Area of EUIV Mongolia was controlled by the Khalkha. The Khalkha today are the ancestors of about 70% of the population in Mongolia.
Khalkha would still be a simplification of the different tribes, which ruled in this area. But it would still be more accurate than it is now.
