Rename entire kingdom/empires

How would you rename an entire empire or kingdom to something else? For example changing the Byzantine Empire to the Eastern Roman Empire? Changing the titles of individual provinces isn't exactly what I'm getting at.

In game, no, but go to the /localisation folder and you can change what displays in the game. Open text1.csv and look for the title you're looking for. You can change e_byzantium to be 'Roman Empire' or 'House of Sad Clowns' or whatever you like.

Only other thing is make sure that the localisation files are in *.csv format. Otherwise it won't work. You would be better off downloading Notepad++ (because it lets you save in strange formats like *.csv, *.gfx that Paradox uses in their games) than editing it with a regular word processor or excel.
