Is there any way of unresearching a technology? Trying to do some fleet testing and want to quantify what sort of effects the +hull point techs have, and the only way I know of having some techs but not all of them is to research each of them manually. Which is fine for low tier corvette vs corvette fights, but going up component tiers it's getting a bit tedious having to console dozens of techs in, and it would save a lot of time if I could use the "research all" command and then just remove the offending techs.

Technologies such as "improved corvette hulls" add hull points to various ship classes. Unequal levels of this tech skew combat results, for example gun corvettes with one level of this tech beat gun destroyers with no levels of this tech at equivalent fleet sizes, assuming all other tech remains the same, while if they both have the same level of tech the destroyers win. I'm trying to see how that holds true across all tech levels and hull combinations, and how much of an advantage it is on a "you need this many extra ships to beat them" level.

The problem is that I can't use the "research all" command as that researches all the hull techs as well, so I'm having to manually research every single other tech, and my fingers are cramping up from it. I can't find any way of un-researching a technology (which would then let me use the research all command and backtrack from there), but it's possible I've missed something, hence this post.

How about these workarounds:
Write a mod event that only gives specific techs? Or that gives a toggle able modifier that adds/substracts hullpoints for the class (aka simulating having the tech)

@Soranya

Yep, that would have worked, in the end just blitzed through it and made saves for each of the tech variations I'd want to go back to. Thank you for the assistance in any case, if it needs to be done again that'll be the the way to do it.
