yonderboy if you think 'PDS' is so responsive why have none of the devs been on this thread stating what they are going to do about this if anything? Or if they can even do anything?
The other issue they have not responded to is the minimap issue. I know they are probably overwhelmed with bug reports and fix requests like these but I think that one of them could take the time to respond.
See, this is what I mean... you come across as implying that the lack of an official response to this single issue (which, mind you, I believe is at or near the top of importance in most players' minds) implies that the devs are non-responsive.
Maybe they've responded to another thread. Maybe they are aware of it but aren't responding. There are about 40 forums just in the "current games" section. On the HOI4 forum you have to go back NINE PAGES just to get to threads that are a day old.
They would have to hire a dozen full-time forum responders to satisfy everyone's need for responses. The fact that not EVERYTHING gets responded to directly doesn't mean they aren't responsive.
Do you expect Podcat, Darkrenown, TomaszKowalczyk, Guaarn, Sideburnout, and/or larre (aka the entire core dev team) to STOP working on fixing the game so that they can respond on the forums to everyone's satisfaction? I certainly hope not.
According to the
current activity page there are SIX THOUSAND people on this forum as we speak.
I ask this directly and sincerely. Have you ever worked on something this large? I have. It's IMPOSSIBLE to cover everything, in terms of bugs, design, and response. But PDS is much, much, much, much better than 95% of game developer studios. We shouldn't pretend otherwise.
We should be grateful for what we have *AND* we should call out the team when they mess up spectacularly. That's what I'm aiming for here. As stated above I assumed that they were aware of the degree of severity of which this is a problem. I assumed they would fix it. They didn't. So now... I have a four page thread that's almost always on the front page where my initial post that calmly and fully explains the problem (or, I hope it does!) has 116 likes and 0 disagrees.
I HOPE that gets their attention. I won't know for a while if it has gotten their attention or not.
