That was the main problem the fact that the AI didnt have the penalty so it could just fly all over place with a large airstack and own anything. Since you cant attack with over 4 planes your not going to beat the AI uberstack of doom.

The penalty wasnt limited to fighters many people have lost fighters while trying to kill an AI *bomber* stack due to penalty making *AI* bombers more effective than players jet fighters!!!.

This patch fixes that so you dont get the penalty at all. You do get still have leadership penalty over 12 planes but not a -100 penalty for it like before.

It does mean you can kill AI stacks much easier now and the dreaded AI uberstack is a thing of a past (Since its possible to fight it!).

Wow. Astonishing news. Has anyone tried the patch already ? It seems way to wonderful to be true ;)

DivineShadow, do you know if it is possible to install and uninstall the patch at will ?

If I may ask, would you be able to create a patch that only HALVES the air stacking penalty ? :rolleyes:

Kool.Have saved file thanx,but for now i have got used to the air stacking penalty.I understand its point of representing way to crowded skys.What is unfair is that AI is not penalised.If a patch could add the penalty to AI aswell then all would be fair and realistic.

In HOI 2 there still is a problem with air units stacking. You can't have an air stack over 4 units but the computer does all the time, and still chew up a smaller stack althought not quite as badly as before. I believe both sides should have the same limilitations in the game. Another thing is there capability to fly way beyond the range of the human player. I have seen the UK and allies like Canada, etc. fly from UK airfields and cross france or Italy to Malta or even Alexandria with Intercepters with a max range of 400 miles this is way out of control!

Still seeing big naval stacks of 100 plus ships moving around!

Why will they not fix this major problem?
