Just noticed that If you (as i have in my current game) have your capital in South America, and expands into North America without having the landbridge (Colonial conquest of primitives), then it becomes a Colonial nation, even if you would later be able to have a connection with Core Provinces.
This mainly comes up if a (prehaps Former) Colonial Nation or more likely an Human player starting as a Native American of some form, starts colonizing on the neighbouring continent.
So i'd Suggest an departure from the Colonial nation creation rules if the overlord have his Capital in either North America or South America, classifying it as a 'supercontinent' which doesn't play by regular colonial nation rules 'internally'. This Idea could also be expanded to making Euroasia and Africa one Supercontinent, allocating Colonial Regions on them American expansionists.
Long story short ... I'd like to not be 'forced' to create a Incan Mexico when i havn't expanded fully in that direction with my colonists before i attack them
