Please add a campaign creation option that removes the 1200 day features. I’d like to play a campaign without the frustrations of trying to acquire points for all the various things being tracked - whether they affect gameplay or not. I really don’t care about all that stuff, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that respect....

If you don't care about them, then there's no reason to worry about the 1200 day limit. You can keep playing after the 1200 day period without problem.

While this is true, I'm kind of with the poster on this, I'd also like untick a tick box for "Keep Score", the day counter in the corner just annoys me, even though it technically has zero impact on proceedings.

As strange as it sounds, a freeplay mode with no score tracking or timelimit would not be rather welcome. Playing with the score being tracked means you keep having the sublte pressure to complete these objectives - no matter if you really care that much about getting a good score in the end. For me at least, the primary goal is not going bankrupt - and the distraction of the scoring system tends to get in the way.

Absolutely. It’s not rocket science. Make a variable for the option, set the variable y/n. Check the variable at campaign startup, display/don’t display the UI link to the data display screen. Simple. I don’t necessarily want the game to discontinue collecting the data, I just don’t necessarily want to see the link/graphic displayed on the screen. Besides, maybe one day I would want to have this option available.... Give me a choice, that’s all.....

Totally understandable and definitely something that I hope they will consider (I love checkboxes and toggles and whatnot).

That being said, remember that career mode (and the scoring system) came out with Flashpoint (1.3) and has only seen its first change with Urban Warfare (1.6) in which the difficulty modifiers are actually impacting your score plus the addition of randomized starting mechs. So, scoring (as a whole) is relatively new to the game. Give them some time.

Yeah, but I see what the OP is getting at. It's always ticking away. Can't see how it could be hard to turn it off in the numerous options at the start.

Yes, please Optionally remove it. I like it as a concept to be able to race for a high score, but I'm just trying to enjoy the idea of owning my own Battletech Mercenary group and don't want that timer in my face. Perhaps even allow people to add or remove it once they've started (just seeing it). Even hide it in the settings/option area to look it up or something. But, i don't want to see it either, it is annoying to me as well. It makes me feel like I'm playing Pinball instead of Battletech.
