I guess you mean that belgrade became the capital/major city in serbia at some later

I think it was under Serb control for short periods of time in the 13th and 14th century. Otherwise it was under Hungarian control from 1310 until 1521, when the Turks captured it. The Hapsburgs retook it in 1688 but lost it again in 1690. Turks and Hapsburgs controlled it alternatively through the 18th century.
In the 19th century it became the center of the Serb territories, which enjoyed a degree of autonomy and then gained their independence from the Turks sometime in the mid 19th century.

yes perhaps Smederevo would be more apropiate to call serbian capital in EU and EUII
(smederevo is a WERY BIG FORTRES nere Belgrade ..and was taken from Turks in big batle/sige ass i remember
