Not sure what would be remastered and Victoria 2 is really really lacking a HUGE amount of events, historical decisions, depth and more.
The economic system is very shaky...
Sphere of influence and colonial competition requires too much clicking at the right time, which is unhistorical, unfun and tends to screw things up.
The military system is not bad, but far from complete.
Politics are too biased to start off with mass conservatism then some liberals then socialism & communism (mostly in the form of rebels) and later on everyone turns fascist...
Trade is not even a real feature, all you can basically do is buy and sell a limited amount of goods, no trade agreements, tariff free zones or trade routes nothing. Not even movement of goods, all is handled through teleportation.
Capitalists have no brain and no clue what to build. AI spams forts everywhere. Africa gets mass industry, railroads and forts for no good reason.
Events generally don't have a large enough impact and tend to be spammed, especially for large nations like the USA.
The budget management is both too flexible and too restricted at the same time as you can change taxes (and everything else) several times a day and it gets immediately implemented. While at the same time, you can't subsidize exports or raise tariffs only on certain goods (for example only on consumer goods so industry isn't hurt).
I could go on, but I think you get the point that Victoria 2 has some real problems and a remaster probably won't fix it.
Therefor I'm all for a Victoria 3, hoping that it fixes the problems of 2 while keeping depth and maybe making it more accessible by improving the UI instead of dumbing down.
I should note though that Victoria 2 is a good and fun game and I do enjoy it, it just has it's problems, like all other games do.
