In my current game I am a Muslim Sultan of Hungary. Latium was conquered by the Muslims and so the Pope was relocated to a church in Bereg in Hungary. At the time the Beylerbey was Christian but I converted him. The last Pope died but the new Pope is still there. He has now launched yet another crusade against me from my own country. This makes it much easier to defeat the Crusade by sieging his church (he also has a church in Liege). All the crusades he has launched have been against me (for Hungary, Lotharingia and now France). Surely he ought to have started a Crusade for Rome first! Latium has now actually been reconquered by the Christians but he hasn't relocated. Some suggestions:
1) The Pope should only relocate to a country where the top liege is Catholic
2) There should be a donate a county to the Pope mechanism for Christian rulers like there is for the Holy orders which gives extra piety and prestige for landing the Pope
3) All crusades should be for Rome until it is recovered
4) If it is recovered not in a Crusade the conquerer should get a return land to the Pope message like point 2.
