Religious zeal stacking?

I started a new game after the 1.8 update. Once the reformation started, I got hit with the conversions from religious centers, which, just like the old mechanic, converts the province and gives the province a "religious zeal" debuff with -8% missionary strength. Playing as Cologne, I decided to side with the counter-reformation, and eventually I was able to convert the provinces back to catholicism.

However, once the province was converted back to missionary, the reformation process started again. Fair enough. But when the province finished converting, it got a second stack of "religious zeal", so I ended up with -16% missionary strength. That seems a bit over the top? Is that really working as intended, or a bug?

Oh, also, I would've posted that in the Technical Support forum, because it feels so much like a bug to me, but I don't seem to have permissions to post or even look into there.

Why I consider it a bug: (1) It doesn't track which religion the zeal comes from; "old" protestant zeal shouldn't protect reformed provinces from being converted back. (2) Shouldn't successfully converting a province remove any zealous elements?

If this is reproducible, you should post this in the bugs forum, BUT first you will need to register your game.

Go to "my profile" on the upper right hand of the screen, followed by "my games".

Oooh... I totally missed that. Thanks for the heads-up.

Will head over there now and see whether maybe there's already a bug report on that, otherwise, I'll post it.
