The assasination
General Fritz it leading his army north towrds Weimar, the second biggest city in Saxony. The army have lost many men but he still comends a huge army of aproximatly 25 thousend men. The men are in a great mood after the easy victory over Thuringa. General Fritz are sure that Anhalt will be harder, but still not a worthy foe. The general is sending messages for his possition everyday to the King.
Early in August the army arrives at the fort, General Fritz are supprised that they havent met and armies on the way maybe General Karl wasnt as far away from victory as he thought.
General Fritz was did a quick supprise assult on the fort. The attack was more a supprise then Fritz ever thought, the Saxonian scouts had not seen our army. A few saxonian soldiers tried to take possitions up on the walls, but they only managed to shoot a few round before they was hit. When the soldiers reached the wall the attack stoped for a short while but before the defenders got time to reorganize the troops had put up ladders and was climbing up the walls. Unfoutantly the attack was beaten back, but the next day we attacked again, now the defenders was prepared and waited for us on the walls, that was their big mistake, almost their entire force was shoot down, the few who survived surrendered.
General fritz send a message tellign the great news for hte king. The next day he got a reply from the king:
"You are truly the best leader the austrian army have ever seen.
Oúr main target now is brandenburg, your attack on Weimar was to delay the enemy and to make a way to Magdenburg. Your target now is to invade Magdenburg. I have full confidence in you.
The other army, now lead by General Hjalmar will attack Berlin thogether with the bavarian forces. We have also great news from spain, their war with Kurpfalz is going good, the entire kurpfalzian army is destroyed and pfalz is under siege.

Fritz lets his army rest in Weimar for a few days, he knows that is will be good in the long run. He lets the army plunder the shops, slaughter the women and rape the cattle of Weimar. (ooc: i stole that joke from Jabberwock). His much smaller force of veterans starts their march to Magndenburg after a few days.
After one months march he finds the city, and the huge fortress there. Fritz understand that his army needs to rest after the long march here, so he starts a siege, the army start building catapults to use as all canoons have been destroyed. After a few days he starts a few small assults of various sucsess.
Generla Fritz recives notes from the siege in Berlin, the siege is going well, but General Hjalmar is assulting to little, Fritz is sure that a few small assults would aid a lot. The general is conserd by the fact that no bavarian troops have came to Berlin yet, Fritz knows how well they fight, it would be a great resourse in the siege.
The people pf Brandenburg are a though breed, they survive over newyear, and then Fritz gains two messages. One contains terible news about the king.
"King Mathias is dead, a small Brandenburgian force attacked out camp. They killed three persons, one of them the King. Ferdinand II have been choosen to be our new King, Felipe III from spain have won the emperor election. I hope that you will avenge our king and kill those brandenburgian swines."
After that message General Fritz is deeply sadened, but also filled with anger wich he take out on the swines inside that fort. He walks to his tent to sorow for the King, then another messanger arrives:
"I bring terrible news, Pirates have been sighted outside korea. We should send a fleet there to prevent them to stop the spice trade in the area."
Generla Fritz looks at him for a short while, I have no idea where Korea is, but i am sure Austria doesnt trade spices there. I am also sure that Austria doesnt have a fleet. Atleast not under my comand. (ooc: damn pirates messages

Three days later when Fritz is planning a new assult on the fort with the other generals a new messanger arrives.
"Kleve and Curland have turned against the true faith. They are now protestnt nations. This cannot be tolerated, the flase foth conot be alowed to expand in germany. England have also turned away even further fom the light and are now Reformed. If England wasnt hiding on their pathetic islands we would imidiatly invade them.
