Hi!
So, I played as Milan and Ile de France got the first center of Reformation. I also switched to Protestant as Milan (just for the lolz). That didn't matter though. 30 years later, France still didn't flip to Protestant. It seems religious centers are just underpowered. France will remove it easily a few years from now. Centers only work for minor countries, but as soon as a country has more than ~10 provinces, they just don't matter. I saw this in France, Lithuania, Austria etc. I like the Reformation mechanic idea, but I don't like how it's implemented. Reformation should spread like concentric circles. Yeah, there should be a little bit of randomness, but how can a country with a protestant capital still stay catholic?
My suggestions:
- Centers should spread their religion not only 1 province around them, but it should be very likely that they spread near their center - e.g. concentric circles with likelihood (something like: 2 provinces away 50 %, 3 provinces away 25 %, random 25 %).
- More centers (4-5 protestant, 4-5 reformed?)! If Denmark, Sweden and England got a center, there's almost no chance, the reformation will spread to mainland europe. That's just stupid.
What do you think? Anyone with better ideas?
