Democracy most certainly is a form of government.

I don't mean to sound biased (although I do appear to, and I realize that), but the U.S. is the last Christian Fundamentalist state on earth, and even then it's not much of one.

How about we get rid of Theocracy, replace it with something (I don't know what), and have Secular and Spiritual Islam taking up the two moslem slots?

It will give birger jarl more work though :\

But if we are talking about 200 years from now, then anything is possible.

We could have these government be unactivated until a certain point. For example, we could perhaps somehow use the reformation to allow Technocracy to be activated. Or at least through events...

There is no point in including secular Islam as a government. If it is secular, then it isn't Islam at all anyway...

Turkey for example is secular... it is just a republic/democracy. It is in no way Islamic, except that most of the country's citizens are. The government is secular.

This would be as stupid as including secular christianity as a government type. You could argue the entire western world is secular christian, and have no need for republic or the other government types.

Democracy is a method of choosing leaders.

As for representative democracy, that would effectively describe the Soviet electoral system.

A democracy has the people rule directly... it is not representative.

How about an A.I. government type.

What I mean is, there is an extremely powerful computer which handles the government, and tries it's best to work in the public's best interest. But we could have some events where the computer gains it's own willpower, and begins to enslave the human race!

Isn't there a way to just "cancel out" some religions/governments since Technocracy to me is a crappy government Activision made up for Call To Power 2 to give it a scientific "edge."

Activision did not invent technocracy. Look it up.

Direct popular rule requires people to vote on every bill and every court case, which takes too long.

I'm sorry, but I don't have an IRC client. That's alright, I don't expect my "crazy" ideas to make it into this scenario anyway... oh well. ;)
