Hello.

I'm trying to create a religion mod so I can convince my friend to play CK2.

Currently I hit a roadblock in which no vassal bishops show up? https://i.imgur.com/KYilSjq.png
And when the default one show (when I pick a Kingdom that has a catholic ruler, but then I use ruler designer to swap to my custom religion), the button "nominate successor" says I need to be a catholic to nominate?

I definitely have bishop vassals or whatever... I think? Even I call a holy man to court, nothing show up on that list. https://i.imgur.com/8EMgQ8f.png

Also, if I have
"investiture = yes"
Shouldn't this tab show something about papal investiture?

Thank you.

You'll need to mod \common\laws\succession_laws.txt succ_catholic_bishopric and add your new religion to:
Code:
OR = {
   religion = catholic
   religion = fraticelli
}

And also in succ_open_elective:
Code:
NOT = { religion = catholic }
NOT = { religion = fraticelli }

For investiture, you'll need to \common\laws\crown_laws.txt in a similar way.

Good luck !

Also, on the topic of succession laws, I also made a custom empire but the succession is defaulting to Open Elective with the image at the bottom saying it's Hereditary Absolute Empire, won't let me change to any other (they don't even show) and it even says that I'm feudal.

What should I look for, to allow primogeniture, and for it to be the default succession law too?
I tried adding "law = succ_primogeniture" and set_governmemt inside effect to feudal in the title's text file in history/title/ but that didn't change anything.

I read somewhere that it might be the government text file, but I'm not sure what to edit on there.
